We sat down with Miles Anthony Davey, who plays Swing in TINA: The Tina Turner Musical. Discussing all things TINA and Spring! Here’s what he had to say.

The critically-adored, hit production TINA: The Tina Turner Musical has announced the exciting addition of Kristina Love to the current star-studded cast. Love is set to reprise her break-out role after having previously starred in the Hamburg production of TINA, for which she received standing ovations and critical acclaim. TINA: The Tina Turner Musical will continue to play at the Aldwych Theatre and has extended its booking period to 3 September 2023. TINA: The Tina Turner Musical has released production images of its new cast, led by Aisha Jawando and Elesha Paul Moses in the title role of Tina. The musical premiered at London’s Aldwych Theatre in spring 2018. Tickets for TINA: The Tina Turner Musical are currently booking through to January 2023.

The Tony Awards is one of the biggest nights in theatre every year. It is presented by the Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing, and is televised on US television. Last night the winners were announced, and coming out on top was Moulin Rouge (which transfers to the West End this November) winning 10 awards.

The UK also had its fair share of wins at this year’s awards. Notably, the Old Vic’s A Christmas Carol and Matthew Lopez’s The Inheritance which transferred from London’s Young Vic to the West End and then onto Broadway won a fair sweep. Also winning an award is Adrienne Warren who originated the role of Tina Turner in the West End production of TINA: The Tina Turner Musical. Special mention to Jamie Lloyd’s Betrayal, transferring from the West End to Broadway, that was nominated in several categories.

TINA: The Tina Turner Musical has confirmed that it plans to reopen from 3 June 2021 with a new performance schedule; subject to government rules and guidelines. The musical plans to return to the West End’s Aldwych Theatre with an altered performance schedule that will see a phased return on how many shows play per week for the first 8 weeks.
